Psychology
Life can be challenging and I believe that we are each on our own journey to understand what it means to live a full and meaningful life. My philosophy is that we all can benefit from taking time to care for our mental well-being. I treat the whole person, with an appreciation for how the mind and the body are connected, and an understanding of how culture and society influence our lived experiences. I specialize in health issues, coping with chronic illness, resiliency, trauma and culturally informed psychotherapy (i.e. issues of race, gender, sexuality, spirituality, etc.), offering individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy. I believe it is important to understand why we do what do but also teach skills to help you manage daily stress. Providing an environment where you feel safe and comfortable is of the utmost importance. Please feel fee to call or e-mail to discuss your interests and see if I might be a good fit for you.
