Sara Hogan, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained laser and cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Hogan received her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She then completed an American Society for Dermatologic Surgery-accredited cosmetic, laser and dermatologic surgery fellowship at SkinCare Physicians in Boston—the longest established program of its kind in the nation, with clinical faculty from Harvard, Yale, and Brown. During her fellowship, she participated in several research studies on cutting edge minimally-invasive cosmetic treatments. Dr. Hogan has been invited to present at national professional conferences, published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, and co-authored over fifteen chapters in dermatologic and cosmetic surgery textbooks. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and serves on national committees for each of these organizations. She is a popular resource to health and beauty writers and has been quoted in WebMD, Medscape, Self, Insider, Reuters, MSN, Newsweek, and The New York Times. Prior to joining Luxe Dermatology, Dr. Hogan was the Director of Aesthetic Surgery for UCLA Dermatology Santa Monica and an Assistant Health Sciences Clinical Professor in dermatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She most recently was the Director for Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser Surgery for the largest privately-owned dermatology practice in southern California. Dr. Hogan was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area and is excited to return home to practice dermatology. In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, sculpting, and painting.
